UC ANR Information Technology provides a range of technology services that support the academic personnel and staff of the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR). The office supports more than 1,500 extension professionals on multiple campuses, nine major field research and extension centers and more than 64 cooperative extension offices across the state.

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the ANR Cyber Security management program from concept to implementation. This position will have dual reporting responsibility. On all matters relating to Cyber Security operations and compliance the CISO will report directly and is accountable to the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Business Operations, who is the designated Cyber Risk Executive (CRE). Additionally, the CISO will collaborate extensively with, and has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) on project management as determined appropriate, jointly by the AVP and the CIO, on matters of information systems, business systems, application of technology, domain security and other related work.

As information security is a collective effort involving people, processes and technology, assignments will include security program development, implementation and oversight, project management, policy analysis, communication and education on the topic of information security, system and process related solutions design, technical support or a combination of these and/or other IT projects. Will serve as the critical link between ANR IT security and the system-wide Cyber Security Coordination Center (C3) and system-wide CISO.
