The Fisheries Social Science Marine Advisor conducts a program of research, education and outreach to enhance understanding of the human dimensions of fisheries and the consequences of management for coastal communities within Santa Cruz County, the Monterey Bay region and statewide.

Marine Resources
Marine Advisors at the UC Sea Grant Extension Program help identify and solve coastal and marine resource problems. We apply and transfer research information to solve practical problems for a wide variety of commercial, recreation, education, and conservation user groups.
