The UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program (UC CalFresh) is a federally funded program to address nutrition education and self-sufficiency of California youth and families that are qualified for federal supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP) to include Policy, Systems, Environmental (PSE) changes and cross training . Under supervision of the Nutrition Program Manager and Nutrition, Family and Consumer Sciences (NFCS) Advisor, the Community Education Specialist II (CES II) is team leader for implementation of UC CalFresh in Kings County. The CES II is responsible for training teachers/volunteers to use UC CalFresh approved curricula to deliver nutrition education to youth, coordinate events in low-income schools, and promote UC CalFresh.
Promote, in all ways consistent with the other responsibilities of the position, accomplishment of the Affirmative Action goals established by the Division.
