Day on The Farm

May 9,2020 at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, held in conjunction with Agricultural History Project Day on the Farm in the Ag History Project site.

Wear 4-H gear and get in free!  Otherwise there is a $2 per person entrance fee.

Spring Fair is a great time to practice for the county fair in a casual atmosphere.  Participate in the poultry show, exhibit items made in projects, give a presentation, display small animals like rabbits or guinea pigs, or larger animals like sheep or dairy goats.

We need volunteers to help with our annual dessert silent auction – the club that donates the most items to the auction takes home 10% of the funds raised!  We also need helpers for our food concession and outreach.

Also at the fair will be many historically focused activities like making quilt squares, making butter and cheese, wood carving, corn husk dolls, candle making, hay rides and equipment demonstrations in the hay field.

Come, enjoy the day, support Santa Cruz County 4-H and earn points you might need to reach your star ranking goals this year!

Members can bring items that they have made in a project, or independently, to be exhibited and judged.  Items need to be brought to the fair by 10am.  Record books, or sections of record books, like the 4-H story or a particular project report, can be entered and would be very welcome.  To enter, please bring a COPY of the record book section so that there will be no danger of losing the original.
