There's less than a week left to register for the prescribed fire workshop in San Benito County!
The workshop is June 5 and 6. Registration is $30.
If you are a local rancher and are willing to bring a full tank of water on the back of your pickup truck or ATV on June 6 for the burn training, we will waive the registration fee and will provide you free lunch. Please contact me at drorao@ucanr.edu if you can help with water.
June 5 will be at the Hollister Vets Building and you will learn about options for prescribed fire on private lands, including details on regulations and permits, unit preparation, burn planning, and more!
June 6 will be a live-fire training in Bitterwater (weather permitting). Please wear long pants, long sleeved shirt (natural fibers only), leather boots, and bring sunglasses and leather gloves.
