Join us for tips on how to choose, store, and prepare local, fresh fruits and vegetables
PAMF Santa Cruz has partnered with the UC Cooperative Extension of Santa Cruz County, Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau, and local farmers to educate consumers on the benefits of eating fresh healthy fruits and vegetables and how to prepare them.
Fresh Starts Here, ¡Lo Fresco Comienza Aquí!
One of the outcomes of this partnership is a handy little booklet called “Fresh Starts Here”, which features healthy tips and recipes from local farmers and PAMF providers. The booklet is also available in Spanish, ¡Lo Fresco Comienza Aquí! Other stars in the booklet include apples, berries, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, beans, greens, sweet potatoes and leeks.
To celebrate this partnership and bring this helpful and healthy information to our patients, we will be featuring events at our clinics, staffed by PAMF educators and local farmers. “Fresh Starts Here” and ¡Lo Fresco Comienza Aquí!booklets, healthy tips, and other goodies will be provided for patients and the community. Please join us!
